Precious Child Part IV

I lift my eyes onto the heavens,

Where does my help come from?

I have no rock to place my hopes in,

Everything is vapour on this earth an

Illusion from my dreams, it means nothing to me.

I look up to the heavens and search for you,

Where are you, in the stars?

You are my water and rich food

I hunger to see you again, show me your hiding place.

Are you held captive, are you further then any man can reach?

Answer me! I command you to answer me!

It is so lonely without you, the heavens don’t understand

How much I long for you again.

You have slain and broken me, where are you?

Don’t tell me you have abandoned me on the shores of hell,

Even still, I still look up to the heavens for you are my salvation

My ever-present help in times of need,

Oh, my lips do not forget to praise thy Lord and maker,

for He pours honey and makes thy voice so beautiful,

He fattens me with His word and prepares a sword for me to carry to war.

His ways are not my ways, and His speech is not mine.

He shall come to me once again and take me from these shores,

He will be a guide onto my weary feet and lead me to rest

Has he not promised me this?.

Precious Child II

Poem by Muna, inspired by Psalm 93

I have lifted the flood for you my child,

I have lifted the floods to hear your voice

I have broken the sea, beaten the waves.

Precious, You are enveloped in my strength,

You have authority to make a way

From you never have I deprived  a thing.

Like the clay of the earth, time will mould thee.

Like the lilies of the field, they will bloom,

So will you my  precious child, so will you.

In the depths of the valley, shelter in me

My yoke is easy and my burden light

My Spirit is ever present, rest child.

My fearfully and wonderfully made

Child in whom I know, treasure and love so

Precious Child I

Poem by Muna,

Forever , I will call on you, my lord.

From this lonely mountain I cry to you.

My tears, cover all  lands and its creatures

Please answer me , I am a destitute.

In my own flood I fall asleep, floating.

I hear you when you call onto me child,

From mountains afar , salvation I bring.

I’ll wipe away your tears and make fountains

Of purified living water to replenish

Your weary body, for my child is tired.

Sleep my dear, morning will clear all sorrows.

In your  embrace I am so truly loved.

Rock of Ages

Poem by Muna:

Rock of ages, cleft for me, let these caves open before me,

Let me hide myself in thee,  away from the storm and tragedy

Fog my vision with your warmth and solace,

Conceal this fowl beast with the glory cloud.

Crown me with glory and honour , worthy to sit on thy heavenly thrown,

Remove my  scales and ashes and scatter them to the winds ,

Make this beast beautiful , adorn it with perfume and oil,

Bathe me in your spirit and serenade  me with your lullaby

Rock of ages cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee
